Elevator Incident Re-Visited
Ok...back by popular demand...so first I had this up and then I took it down
because certain people convinced me I was wrong...how dare they...how darethey make me second guess myself...who's to say that this is wrong...either
way it's creative and it's just the way I think...so i'll try to re-create it...which
will be kinda hard because I don't even know what I'm talking about half the time....
Ok take a look at the sign...now notice the spacing
between the signs...coincidence? I think not!
The space is there because the rules are SEPERATE!
Think about it, "In case of fire use stairs for exit."
Ok, got it...all I need to know. "Do NOT use elevator" ...
now why would they put that...it just said to use the stairs!
Nobody is gonna read the first line and then go....oh let's
use the elevator...cuz it just said TO USE THE STAIRS...
the second line is redundant and irrelevent!
The separation of the rules is then again emphasized by
the "." creating the same effective separation as the
different spacing. Now notice the arrows, it
points UP and then DOWN...why doesn't it just point down?
Would one really take an elevator to go UP in a fire and
then DOWN?? Look at the arrow for the stairs it clearly
has a DOWN arrow (what if the fire was on the next floor down??)
I don't know about you but I'm taking the elevator up to
the helicopters! That's because the arrows have nothing to
do with going on an elevator during a fire. The arrows are
there so people won't go UP and then DOWN because that delays
the elevators and will upset all the guests!! So, in conclusion
I'm right and ya'll are WRONG!!
Everybody was just too quick to jump on that bandwagon!
I THINK SOME PEOPLE OWE JAMES AN APOLOGY!!

an isa and james chat
james: but it's redundant...
isa: do u think that all individuals have ur level of intellect?
james: haha
isa: as a rule of thumb the hotel is held liable for the misinterpretations of their signage
james: then i would hold them liable
james: cuz it doesn't pertain to the overthinkers
isa: thus to cover all bases...would it not be better to be redundant than to only put one sign that does not address the use of the elevator, which is the particular item in question
james: damn i'm taking it down
isa: but by placing that portion of the sign then the hotel owners are saving their asses by saying
isa: hey we told them and warned them...if they ride the elevator in case of fire it's their own doing and the hotel is NOT liable
isa: besides...how can you hold them liable if you are brain dead from smoke inhalation while taking the damn elevator or worse already dead?
cecile: hahahahaha. she said you're brain dead
James...drop it already. You have to learn how to admit you're wrong sometimes you know! Let...it...go...
